While I did read and enjoy this book it is most definitely not doctrine and should be read more as a fictitious novel. I honestly think that part has a lot of truth to it, but again I don't know and could easily be wrong about that. I also very much enjoyed the way he described the spiritual plane of existence. As I read through it I felt at least a few parts were true, especially when Spencer described Christ. Having read it and read the criticisms about it, I can say it's an interesting book with possibly a few truths here and there, but it is not inspired of God.
